When you message us

If you write to us on WhatsApp (+251 71 806 6787), by email (hello@ethiopiadriver.com) or with the quote form, we keep your name, number or email address and the messages themselves, so we can answer, plan your trip and keep track of the booking. In the quote form, your email and answers are kept as soon as you press Next on the email step, so we can still send you a quote if you stop before the end. Messages sent from this site carry a short visit reference, so we can see which page you came from. Messages are handled in our own customer inbox, which uses WhatsApp (Meta) and our email provider (Resend) to deliver them. We never sell them, and we only share trip details with the driver looking after you.

Messages sent from this website include a short reference code (like Ref: ED-7K2QF9). It lets us see which page you were reading, so we can answer the right question. It contains nothing about you.

When you visit the website

We count visits with our own privacy-friendly analytics: which pages are read, roughly where visitors are from (country and city, worked out from the connection and not stored), the kind of device, and which link or ad brought them. It sets no cookies, doesn't follow you to other websites, and never records what you type into forms.

To tell a returning visitor from a new one, it may keep a random number in your browser's storage — nothing about you or your device — which is forgotten after a period without visits. Some visits may be recorded so we can see where the site is hard to use (what's clicked and scrolled, with anything typed hidden); recordings are deleted after a few weeks. You can clear your browser's site data at any time to remove the number.

When you contact us from an ad, we may tell that ad platform (Google, Meta or TikTok) that its ad led to an enquiry, so it shows the ad to people like you — using the ad's own click reference and, where we have them, your phone number or email in a scrambled (hashed) form that can only be matched, not read.
